It’s the Cheetah Chase – the most unique race event in the state where runners can take the scenic route to “Africa” and back as the kangaroos, giraffe, and cheetahs all wonder what your hurry is! Choose the Gazelle Gallop or Sloth Walk – a 5K pace for every age and ability.
The Binder Park Zoo Cheetah Chase 5K coursehas a variety of surfaces including asphalt, brick, boardwalk, crushed rock, and grass. There is a combination of up hills, down hills, tight turns and flat stretches throughout the course. Native Michigan woodlands are in abundance along with a wide variety of zoo animals to catch your eye. Highlights also include panoramic views of the African savannah with herds of giraffe, zebra, antelope, and more. This is a truly unique venue for a 5K event.
Tradition dictates that on her 16th birthday, a princess must be rescued from a ferocious dragon. But in the Kingdom of Middlefield we have a prince too afraid to fight, a princess who wants to rescue herself, and a dragon nowhere to be found. A tale of bravery, intelligence and unexpected friendship. This production sponsored by the Coldwater Exchange Club. Tickets to Popcorn Theatre are general admission.
