Description:

Listed in the State Register of Historic Sites, the first burial occurred in 1837.The cemetery reflects Albion’s ethnically diverse population including natives of Italy, Lithuania and Poland. The final resting place of people, of state and national significance, including State Senator Warren G. Hooper. His case was one of the most famous unsolved murder mysteries in Michigan in the late 1940’s. Self-guided tours/maps are available at the Greater Albion Chamber of Commerce.
