The Honolulu House Museum, built in 1860, by the first U.S. consul to the Sandwich (Hawaiian) Islands. The exterior architecture is a blend of Italianate, Gothic and Polynesian. The interior features paint-on-plaster wall and ceiling paintings restored to the splendor of the 1880’s, including period furnishings and authentic replicas of the carpets. Marshall Area historical artifacts are also featured. Open May 1st to October 31st, daily, noon to 5:00 p.m. Off Season by appointment.
