DON'T DRINK THE WATER

Jul. 14, 2009 - Jul. 26, 2009
Barn Theatre - Augusta | Contact: Penelope Ragotzy | 2697314121 A cascade of comedy, Woody Allen’s DON’T DRINK THE WATER plays on the Barn stage July 14 – 26. Filled with hilarious dialogue, this affair takes place inside an American embassy behind the Iron Curtain. An American tourist, his wife and daughter rush into the embassy two steps ahead of the police who suspect them of spying. Hilarity ensues as they carefully and frantically plot their escape with the ambassador's not-so-bright son aiding. N.Y. Daily News said this comic gem "Moved the audience to great laughter.... Allen's imagination is daffy; his sense of the ridiculous is keen and gags snap, crackle and pop." Show times: Tuesday – Friday 8:30pm; Saturday 6:00 & 9:00 pm; Sunday 5:00 pm.
