Flash Flood Water Park
Cool off at the pool at Flash Flood Water Park in downtown Battle Creek! Ride the slides or just hangout in the shallow end of the pool to cool off. Do not want to pay full admission? Every Monday in July is Twilight Night, where you get $5 admission after 5pm.
Kayak down the River
Summers are for kayaking down the river! If kayaking is your thing, there are many opportunities for you to do so in Calhoun County! One of the best places to start is at Historic Bridge Park. Bridge Park has kayak ramps, which make it easy and safe for you to launch your kayak into the river.
If you are a newbie to kayaking, downtown Battle Creek has kayaking tours every Thursday from 11am – 1pm. It is a short ride from Kellogg House Park to down by Kellogg’s Headquarters.
Get Ice Cream

Explore Gilmore Car Museum
This one is partially outside, but their inside exhibits nice and cool with air conditioning. The best historical car museum on the west side of the state is just in our backyard! Gilmore Car Museum has around 400 vehicles on display in their multi-exhibit museum. The unique farm setting makes it a great place to spend a hot summer day!
Enjoy a Movie
One of the best ways to beat the heat is to go to the movies! With 3 newly renovated movie theaters in Battle Creek, their is lots to choose from. Plus, you can find matinee prices at all of the theaters. See what’s playing at JC Cinemas, GQT West Columbia 7 and NCG Cinema.
