Albion Malleable Brewing Company Highlighted at U.S. Senator’s Reception in D.C.

Washington, D.C. (January 3, 2019) – Representatives of Albion Malleable Brewing Company attended the “Made In Michigan” Swearing-In Reception for U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow.

Following the official swearing-in ceremony, Senator Stabenow held a special reception themed “Made in Michigan,” which included food and beverage products such as Faygo, Great Lakes Coffee Roasting Company, Hanover’s Michigan Mints, Murdich’s Fudge, Uncle John’s Cider, and Zingerman’s Deli. Albion Malleable Brewing Company’s dry-hopped saison “Proper Villains” and red double IPA “Red Headed Senator” were on tap for the reception. Brewery co-owner Ben Wade was “honored and excited to see our beer showcased amongst such long-standing and successful Michigan companies”.

The city of Albion has been experiencing a great tide of economic development and the currently seated Senator had a tour of these developments before the brewery opened its doors last May. Brewery owners invited the U.S. Senator to come back to Albion and enjoy our great city once they were open, joking that they’d name a beer after her. Co-owner Charles Moreau later suggested Red Headed Senator as a name for their red double IPA. “It was a great beer name,” says Wade. “It had a ring to it and it has a story behind it. It really wasn’t politically motivated, and we certainly couldn’t have imagined that it would lead us to seeing our beer in the capital.”

Albion Malleable Brewing Company wishes to express their appreciation to all their elected representatives. on both sides of the party line who have been supportive at the local, state, and federal level.
