Our afterschool teens will be building “cars” in their “auto lab” after school for kids to use at the Drive-In. At 12:30, you can “shop” the cars and choose one to relax in and enjoy Cars III. Bring a small pillow & blanket to be extra comfy. Popcorn will be served.
In the winter of 2018, the historic Battle Creek International Festival of Lights will be incorporated into the new and exciting Battle Creek Winter Festival of Lights! With the return of familiar events and addition of new attractions, the festival will dazzle folks of all ages with a pathway of beautiful lighting structures, light shows, games, carnival attractions, circuses and many more activities for adults and children! All events and activities are FREE and community driven! This is a list of all of the events - check out the individual events under Events for more details about the days.
All events will be held on the corresponding Saturday from 4:00pm-8:00pm
November 24th Winter Carnival
The Winter Festival Carnival is a fun-family friendly event that will be packed with games, activities, face-painting, live music, food, and winter merriment! Stage performance by: Feelgood Band (80s & 90s)
December 1st Caroling in the Creek
A day for music lovers on a Saturday in December, the Caroling in the Creek day will feature a caroling contest between local signing groups, choirs and individuals. After the sets, a local band will perform. Stage performance by: Chameleon (50s to today)
December 8th Holiday Festival Circus
From street performers to circus stage acts, Festival Market Square will be packed with acrobats, jugglers, dancers, magicians, and more.
December 15th Crafting in the Creek
Artistic spirit will be abundant all over Battle Creek on this
Saturday event for creative and fun-loving people. Stage performance by: Tony Fields & Doug Decker Trio
December 22nd Multicultural Day
The theme of this Saturday in December will be embodying the winter spirit by having an open exchange of idea and traditions. Stage performances by Big Daddy Polish Band, Kevin Collins Kuugana African Drum and Dance Troupe, and Hurricane Reggae Band.
Horse Drawn Wagon Rides 6:00pm-8:00pm
The best way to experience the great structures of the historic Festival of Lights is on a horse drawn wagon ride through the lights!
Santa’s Den & Kids Zone
The Kid’s Zone will provide an array of free, family-friendly things to do on Saturdays, November 24 - December 22. Kids Zone includes Visit with Santa and his elves, Holiday arts and crafts, Holiday and games, and more music and/or stage entertainment inside a heated tent
