Charitable proceeds to benefit Sprout, a key organization ensuring healthy food for the less fortunate in our community. August 16 will feature the popular, rock and roll cover band BAREFOOT BLONDE, with donations to help the Arboretum. Marching music and big band sounds will take over Thursday, August 23, with the concluding outdoor concert series by the CEREAL CITY CONCERT BAND, benefiting the Leila Arboretum. “We want – most of all – to celebrate the pride and love so many Battle Creek residents have in their community,” said one of the series’ volunteer organizers, Gerald Tilmann. “And what better way to do that for all of us to share live music, in the comfortable, airy outdoor setting of the Fantasy Forest at Leila Arboretum.” More information on the events, how to volunteer for them, and special opportunity to join other local donors and businesses in sponsoring the series is available by contacting Tilmann at 269-964-2267 or Brett Myers, at the Arboretum, 269-317-4893.
