Description
Michigan Audubon has created an 898-acre Sandhill Crane sanctuary with two groomed trails for hiking and cross-country skiing. Besides cranes, keep an eye out for bald eagles, trumpeter swans, northern harriers, migrating waterfowl and diverse warblers. It's the second-largest property owned and managed by Michigan Audubon. A brochure to help identify flowers is available at the Doty Shelter.
