This night time holiday parade is a family favorite! Floats through downtown Battle Creek by many of the shops and businesses. It also goes through the International Festival of Lights display, which kicks off that night. You will also have the chance to get a glimpse of Santa!

International Festival of Lights:  Nov. 22 – Dec. 31

If you have ever been in downtown Battle Creek during the holidays, you will know that it is always bright with holiday lights! All of the light displays are of classic holiday scenes. Teach your kids the 12 days of Christmas song as you walk through each display of all 12 days along the way!

ZooLights at Binder Park Zoo: Dec. 18 - 23

You may have been to ZooBoo but did you know that Binder Park Zoo also holds a holiday festival during the holiday season? Take your kids and stroll along the lighted paths of the zoo and see some of the winter hearty animals including the wolves. There will be carousel rides, up-close meet and greets with animals, stories with Grandma Claus and other special activities that your kids will enjoy. It will be so much fun and you may even be able to meet Santa!

Meet Santa

Take your kids to meet Santa this holiday season! Lakeview Square Mall has a “Meet Santa” section every year. Whether you get a happy or crying picture it will be a memory you and your kids will never forget. You can also meet Santa during ZooLights at Binder Park Zoo!

Cut your own tree for Christmas at a tree farm

If you celebrate Christmas, chances are you will be looking for a place to get your fresh tree! It’s fun for the whole family when you get to cut your own tree and then see it put up in your house. At Gusty Farms in Scotts, you can take a ride on the wagon and stop in the Christmas Cottage to get some yummy cookies! Wilson’s  in Battle Creek has trees and lots of gorgeous fresh decorations to put your house in the spirit of the season. If you do not want to cut one yourself, you can pick from pre-cut trees at each place. There is a link to a list of farms and their websites in the link above.
