Looking for fun for everyone?
“We have a little bit of everything for all age groups,” says Emily Lemar, manager of Astro Fun World.
Walking into Astro Fun World feels a little like entering a space station in a movie. Fluorescent lights draw the eye to an arcade, full of games like pop-a-shot, Skee-Ball and air hockey.
Older kids will make a beeline to the go-kart track. There are four different levels of speed, depending on how experienced the driver is. "Obviously, if there's some little kids and this is their first time driving anything, we might take it down a couple notches,” Lemar says.
Kids 36” tall can ride as a passenger, and they can ride by themselves starting at 52”.
The VR system also looks like it’s straight out of a “Tron” movie. Hop on the motorcycle with neon detailing and take a rollercoaster ride underwater or through outer space.
Follow to the back and it’s like you’ve landed on another planet, with satellites and aliens. That’s the glow-in-the-dark miniature golf course.
Also in back, you’ll find more for little kids – a ropes course and a giant ninja bounce house that’s free for kids 10 and younger.
If you’re hungry, the cafe serves up snacks and eventually there will be a full menu, with things like pizza and wings.
There’s all of that, not to mention the laser tag and the interactive pixel floor and the climbing walls.
“Come in again, there will always be something new,” Lemar says.
For instance, axe throwing for kids is on the list, as well as new arcade games.
It’s an assortment of different attractions for the whole family.
