Fun awaits at Kids ‘N’ Stuff Children’s Museum in Albion – and you might learn something, too.
There are new and updated exhibits to explore, the biggest of which is A-MAZE-D.
This structure is made of painted cardboard boxes with tunnels and towers and games within.
“A-MAZE-D encourages whole-family interaction,” says Jena McKnight, manager of the museum’s marketing and communications. “We encourage parents and guardians to play an active role in their visit to the museum, and mazes, puzzles, and games are activities that can be enjoyed by everyone, whether you're 4 or 94.”
The maze has inspired some events, such as game nights, puzzle competitions and a 30-minute pirate-inspired escape room over spring break. “The Treasure of Shivers Cove" has pre-sale tickets only.
A-MAZE-D will be up until November, but there are some permanent changes to check out, too.
Your Healthy Home includes more interactive components: kitchen upgrades for pretend cooking, yoga videos to emulate and a few games.
Carousel of Sounds encourages exploration of sound and light with instruments made out of everyday objects and instruments that are larger than life.
Wonders of Wind now features a high-powered air-maze that moves ping pong balls with the turn of a wheel. The space also includes a bicycle with wings and a hand-turning powered helicopter, so that kids can learn how air moves and moves us.
“Kids ’N’ Stuff Children’s Museum provides fun, hands-on learning experiences for all children and families through interactive exhibits and programs,” McKnight says.
The museum is also available for field trips.
